Good Finds: Desk and Speaker

Here are some of my recent good finds:

The first one is a small secretary desk. It isn't the greatest of quality but the price and size were right. As you can see it fits nicely under the mirror. I have an old chair that we've had forever that I am refinishing to go with it. Notice Mick?

This was a much needed and wonderful find. I can listen to books (not too often though) and work out wirelessly! I was lucky to find the exact electrical cord that goes with it buried in a bin at DI and even better, there's a remote!!

Yard: Moving things around

This is the third move on the picket fence. Since I'm putting in the larger fence for the dogs and the garden wasn't working where it was I thought I's make a few changes. This past weekend I dug and set five post holes (one not pictured but posts have been swapped out) and cut and mounted the fence pieces all by myself. I am still swapping out a few of the slats and repairing the gate. This gate will keep the dogs away from the side gate to the front, hide the A/C and house bird feeders and herbs.

Here is where I moved the third move on the garden box. The growing trees were stealing my sun and I hope to have a great garden this year. You can also see progress on the yard fence and the outer area where I will put random plants and shrubs once spring comes. I borrowed the neighbor's tiller and went crazy last week. It was quite the work out and so is using the post hole digger. I am so thankful for this beautiful weather in February.

Getting Fit: Dietbet won

In January I weighed in at my heaviest ever and I decided it was time. I tried to lose weight and gained 3 more lbs! That day I also got an email from Dietbet. I had done 2 of them in the past and lost weight but not enough to win any money back. Based on the weight loss I was okay making the donation so I joined immediately.

I am happy to report that I lost the required 4% of my body weight and I won $41 (really just $11 since I paid $30 to enter). I simply tracked my calories using My Fitness Pal and got moving. I also want to make it clear that I have not deprived myself of anything and I think this has been the trick. I am okay with posting these pictures because I no longer look like either of them. They are a thing of the past and I am going to leave them there. I am finally at a place in my head where I would rather be active, comfortable in my body and my clothes and feel great about myself.
