Provo River Trail

Today I had my friend Tyler come with me to drop my car off at Utah Lake and then drop me off at Vivian Park with my bicycle. It took me just under 1 1/2 hours to ride from point A to point B. According to this map it is 15 miles. Yay me!

Good Point

A recently read a book that had a few quotes in it that I thought were worth writing down. Unfortunately, I didn't think of this until after I read past the quote. I remember thinking of 3 of them but was only able to find 2 of them when I flipped back through the book. From now on, I'll have a notebook nearby or take the time to flag the page or go write it down.

1. "Politically correct - it's what people without their own ethical center adhere to."
2. "A job is just a job - you can't let it steal your soul"

The Anxiety of Everyday Objects

Since Max is no longer allowed on the furniture (excluding my bed), he hangs out on my bed (keeps it warm) until it is time for me to read with him and then put him to bed in the back room with Bridget. This is how I found him the other day. I thought it was funny that he had his paw over his face and happened to be right next to the book I'm reading "The Anxiety of Everyday Objects". Very cute.

The book is about a woman in her thirties working in a law office and dealing with relationships. Friends and men. So far so good but I'm not even half way through yet.

Are you done yet?

This was Max during my first cardio workout. Both dogs just stared at me the whole time nodding off here and there.

I rode my exercise bike for 20 minutes using the interval technique from Body for Life. It is such a great work out in only 20 minutes and I can't understand why anyone busts their butt for any longer. It is the only workout that can make me break a sweat. I made it through day 2 (Cardio) so it's all down hill from here!

Home Gym

The other day, I decided to start a new plan to get fit. My plan is to exercise using the Body For Life plan and eat using the Weight Watchers plan. Finally combining the two plans that I love.

Unfortunately, I was unable to do the Body For Life exercises at home so I went on KSL and found this!!!! It was a steal at $100. My first work out was getting the parts from the car to the house and then assembling it. I am so excited!

To top things off, the inner thigh of my favorite pants has ripped during the process. Yet another reason to continue with the plan.
